Scope
This code of conduct should be honoured by everyone who participates in the opensourceprocurement.org community. It applies to all opensourceprocurment.org related activities, content, events and comments, and all related staff, participants and visitors. This is an international community and communication should be appropriate for all professional audience.
The opensourceprocurement.org welcomes and encourages participation in our community by people of all backgrounds and identities.
Standards of behaviour:
Expected behaviour
- While participating or commenting please always be kind and respectful.
- Be empathetic, welcoming, friendly, and patient. The work is created by humans and similarly comments are made by humans and its always a good idea to be nice with each other.
- Asking questions, be inquisitive, we encourage questions, and we will try hard to be responsive and helpful.
- Use inclusive language.
- Be respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences.
- Be receptive to constructive comments and criticism.
- Be respectful of others' positions, skills, commitments, and efforts.
Inappropriate behaviour
- Violent or intimidating threats or language directed against another person
- Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks.
- Written or verbal comments which have the effect of excluding people on the basis of membership in a specific group, including level of experience, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, neurotype, personal appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or nationality
- Public or private harassment
- Continuing to initiate interaction (such as photography, recording, messaging, or conversation) with someone after being asked to stop
- Sustained disruption of talks, events, or communications, such as heckling of a speaker
- The use of sexualized language or imagery. Unwelcome sexual attention or advances.
- Language or imagery that encourages, glorifies, incites, or calls for violence, emotional, or physical harm against an individual or a group of people.
- Defaming an individual or group, or violating any trademarks or copyrighted material.
- Threats or acts of violence.
- Publishing (or threatening to post) other people’s personally identifying information (“doxing”), such as physical or electronic addresses, without explicit permission
- Content posted to Community must be on-topic and constructive. No Promotional content, content designed to create backlinks, trolling, links to harmful websites, or content unrelated to the topic at hand will be entertained.
- Community members should not purposely misinform others or who give advice in bad faith.
Right to Terminate Membership
The opensourceprocurement.org reserves the right to remove comment or block the user from the site if found guilty of violating any code conduct mentioned above.
